You should believe it Janine. Your work is brilliant! I came across Janine’s work at Broken Hill Regional Gallery in August 2010 in the Outback Competition. The best artwork I’ve seen in years.
It is so hard to come up with new ideas and concepts and yet here is a work of art, using dried leaves and positioning them so meticulously to create a fresh new masterpiece.
I envy (in the nicest way) her concept and her skill.
To live on Kangaroo Island and to do this beautiful work. What more could you want. The labour and time dedicated to present the finished product would be immense.( Oh, to be able to afford one of her works!)
What a glorious environment to display her work. I hope many rich and discerning people buy her beautiful mandelas and carry them to the four corners of the earth.
Congratulations on the Blake Prize win, (one of many more to come, in recognition of superb Australian art).
